K-12 Funding in the Final 2024-2026 State Budget Compared to Governor’s Introduced (by Locality)
The budget signed by the governor for the budget years that begin on July 1, 2024 (fiscal year 2025) and July 1, 2025 (FY 2026). Virginia lawmakers maintained key investments in K-12 education from the budget originally passed in March, providing over $1 billion more in Direct Aid for public schools compared to the governor’s introduced budget.
